Reema Sharma Interview

Aayushi: Hey guys, this is Aayushi Shah from the Panther Press, and I am here with Reema Sharma who is running for 8th grade class president this year.

Reema: Hey!

Aayushi: Why should the 8th graders vote for you?

Reema: I want to make this a memorable and productive school year. Everyone only gets to live the middle school experience once and I want this year to be unforgettable for all the 8th graders at IMS.

Aayushi: I like what you have in mind, I'm an 8th grader and I would love that!Tell me, how are you going to make this possible?

Reema: First off, I would like to create a school-wide debate club, in which both students and the staff, can participate. I believe that it would be fun watching students interacting with some of their very own teachers! We can introduce students to current events, like Hurricane Harvey and Irma, and therefore, encouraging them to learn more.

Aayushi: I see. Where did you get this motivation?

Reema: As some may remember, we had some great clubs in 6th grade, such as after-school French and Spanish clubs, and as time went on, those ideas just ended up dissolving. I want to create more clubs, which students actually want and can actively participate in.

Aayushi: Those are some great goals! Throughout the years, some presidents have made promises that they weren’t able to keep up to. Can we trust you to go against them?

Reema: Of course! I want to bring forth the ideas of my fellow students and fulfill their desires. That’s the plan! Vote for me and I won’t let you down.

Aayushi: Thanks for your time Reema! Good luck in the election! And there you have it, Reema Sharma’s stand in her possible future presidency! Make the right decision or not, the choice is yours!
